July 23, 2011. I was supposed to be at Araneta Coliseum watching the match between the NBA and PBA all stars. Kobe was there and I’ve been aching for tickets ever since I learned that he’ll be here again. However, the Sunday before that date, July 17, I read in the newspaper that the tickets are already sold out. My world collapsed.
But then I remember that July 23 is also the date for our acquaintance party in school. So I said to myself, at least you’ll have something else to do. Now, all I needed to do was buy a shirt for the event and go even though I did not really feel like going in the beginning. I also told myself that I should be there since I was the president of the class and I am supposed to support our representatives for the “Talentadong Freshmen” thingy. After all, I was the one who told them to join.
To make the long story short, I went to the party and I had fun. There were times when my ADHD became apparent but I managed to meet a lot of other freshmen.
With the TF thing, the female representative of our class got second place. A student from another course got first place. A lot of students are actually very talented and they have really good skills. Still, no offence but I think some of the presentations are a bit boring. It would actually help if they had tried to exert more effort, you know, something that would make the others think that they really prepared to showcase their talents. Oh well, it’s not as if my opinion mattered or matters.
The good thing is I really had fun. And I do think the others had fun as well. We have a lot of pictures to prove that we had a good time. It’s just sad that some of our blockmates were not able to make it. It could have been even more fun if they were there. So, instead of being at the Araneta Coliseum and cheering my heart out to Kobe, I was at the gymnasium of my school, laughing, smiling at cameras, eating, making new friends and dancing my feet off.
To all my mates who shared in the fun last night, thank you!!

During Father’s Day, I decided to cook pasta. My sister then told me, “why don’t you blog this?”. So, I thought “why not?” Thus, right now, I am going to try to tell you, my lovely readers, how I cook.. ^_^
In advance, I want to apologize for the poor quality of the photos, this was not planned so I just took pictures with my mobile.
SEAFOOD PASTA
- When cooking, the first thing you need to do is to prepare the ingredients. In this recipe, I used butter, garlic, onion, ginger, red-bell pepper, parsley, egg yolk, all-purpose cream, tuna flakes, shrimp and of course, pasta (spaghetti).
Before, preparing the sauce, it is much better to cook the pasta. Boil water (depends on how much pasta you want to use); add some salt and oil. Add the pasta. Wait for 8-11 minutes (also depends on what your pasta package tells you) Drain.. and you’ll have this.
Preparing the sauce:
Heat the butter in a pan.
Add the garlic.

Add the onions.

Then, add the ginger. (I used ginger since I used seafood in this recipe.)

Sauté it.
Afterwards, add some of the bell peppers (the rest will be used for garnishing)

At this point, your onion should already be cooked.. Thus, you can add the tuna flakes.
And the shrimp. (I did not behead the shrimp cause that part is actually the tastiest part. I did devein it, though.)
Once the shrimp is cooked (that means it is already a bit orange), you can add the cream.
Let it simmer.
Then, add the yolk.

After it boils, you can turn off your stove and toss the pasta in the sauce.
Transfer it to a plate (or to whatever container you desire)
Add some red bell pepper and parsley for garnishing.

And voila,

And after a few seconds…
